Dwarf Team by Virgil Games: Extra stuff reveiled

The indiegogo capmaign goes well, and some of the rewards have been announced. These includes three counters and block dice. I really like the team, and these counters are great as well. As for the dices, they are one of the best I've ever seen. Also artwork of the expected starplayers was presented.

Winter Tournament 2014

Last weeken we had a small tournament in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. This is a brief photo report of the tournament itself and a detailed presentation of 8 turns of one of the games.

 

The teams are unpacked, coaches are editing their rosters. Hard time for both of them!

There were five of us playing using custom league rules. I'll not list all of them, but the main idea is that coaches get 200 team value before the first match and 150 before the second and third, which they can spend almost freely for levelups. There were some limitations, but the system was flexible enough to allow all sorts of dirty tricks. Another significant change was that stunty teams fot lot's of "free" enducements, which resulted in lots of starplayers, bribes and cards.

Chaos Pact team on indiegogo

Recently we've seen several blood bowl campaigns started on indiegogo, but today a totally new one was started. What's the difference? The difference is that this time it is a really unique and one og the visually coolest teams: Chaos Pact!

The campaign was started by RN Estudio, and most of the models are already revealed. You just must check them, these are best of the models I've ever seen. And don't you dare say they are not awesome, or they'll come for you!

 

Sylvania treewoman updated

Greetings,

Rolljordan updated their treewoman that is a part f the Sylvania wood elf team. The new look is quite controversial: the model itself is great, but isn't it too dynamic for the slowest model in the game? Anyway, I like it. By the way, the model again will come in two options, with open or closed breast. Now I'll have to make a tough choice which one to choose, the old one or the updated.

Greebo's rats on indiegogo: Hand of Death.

It looks like indiegogo attracts more and more manufacturers, which I believe is great. A couple of days ago Greebo Games started a new campaign as well. There are two sets of models: turtles and rats. I'll skip the turtles here as they are not Blood Bowl related (though they are great and you can check them at their page on indiegogo) and will show you the rats, who might be used as a skaven team. They seem not enough warhammer-like for me, but might work for those, who are less conservative. And their theme is cool, so at least check them.

Orcs team and dwarf deathroller by Black Scorpion

Black Scorpion announced a new version of Orc Blood Bowl team. It consists of 9 unique orcs and two goblins. Troll is not included, but Black Scorpion already has one as well as lots of other manufacturers, so this is not really a problem.

Another new model is a dwarven dreadn... sorry, deathroller. It looks very different from what other sculptors suggest and might be a good addition for those who are looking for a more steampunk style version.

Models will be accessible in April.

Interview with Sergi Torras (Dwarf Team by Virgil Games)

We are proud to present you an interview with Sergi Torras, the author of viking-style dwarves that boldly marched into indiegogo a couple of days ago to take a solid place between sneaky elves and slaans populating it. His campaign started 5 days ago and still have 40 days to go, but already got almost 1/4 of the required funds. This means something, right?

Sergi turned out to be a very communicative person and a Blood Bowl fan himself. We hope you'll enjoy the interview as much as we did.

MK1881 Pro- and Dark elves updates

The first news is that Honos campaign now also has it's field revealed. It'g quite a grim stadium for a pro-elf team, but some of the coaches prefer this style:

indiegogo campain: Dwarf Team by Virgil Games

Lately indiegogo has been a source of great campaigns for Blood Bowl teams. I think this is great. As long as Games Workshop doesn't update its miniatures line and allows (or should I say does not forbid) other companies to sell their own models for this game, I believe such campaigns will continue to bring us a lot of cool miniatures. 

Recently we've got campaigns for most of the agility-4 teams, but now "bash-them-all" style coaches can also find a team for them: dwarfs. Definitely, one of the most controversial team in the Blood Bowl. You either love them or hate them, it's really hard to find a coach who is indifferent to this little sturdy pieces of heary muscles overloaded with all the skills other teams just dream getting after a couple of seasons.

Two starplayers unlocked for 'Tanatos' Dark Elves

Greetings!

The 'Tanatos' campaign is going on. Two latest unlocks bring us two startplayers. A witch-elf, initially named Roxy, and an assassin named Hubris. As for the Roxy... I really liked the name, but according to the results of a voting started held in Facebook she was renamed into Artemisia. Not the best name if you ask me, bug what I hell, I'll name her as I like after I paint her :D 

 The second starplayer is Hubris. It looks cool, but I personally am not sure that I like the blades instead of daggers. On the other hand it can be used just as any other elf starplayer rather than an assassin. So it has it's pros as well.

Both starplayers come for a price of 6 EUR for contributors and 9 EUR  for others. That's a real deal! I'll definitely get both, what about you?
